About our village
Roxton is a small village and civil parish located in the Borough of Bedford in Bedfordshire, England. Roxton is mentioned in the Domesday Book.
The village has one church, a chapel and a garden centre. There is a post office to the rear of the public house. Roxton Lower School is also located in the village.
The parish used to include Wyboston, Chawston and Colesden, but in May 2007 they became independent of Roxton
though are included in the history groups district.
Many of the older dwellings are built of attractive wattle and daub, some retaining their thatched roofs.
